Coming up on the wrong side of the alley in sunny Miami, Gatocito saw many of his friends fall into a life of napping or – worse – a job at the local dog track. But he knew that was no life for a resourceful cat like himself.

Calling in every favor he had, Gatocito landed an internship as a studio assistant at the Bigg Time Purrduction Company. Not only did he learn the trade from the legendary Whiskers Wallace but studied every rhyme and every beat as international superstar The Nap recorded there. This inspiration, combined with a relentless work ethic, took Gatocito into local night clubs, where his effortless-seeming flow and pitch-perfect beats won over a crowd ready to shake their tails all night long.

He dropped his first album, The Hippest Cat in Little Havana, to little initial fanfare. But soon other DJs were spinning upbeat club bangers like “Fluffy Fluffy Florida” and “This Much I Meow” and people flocked to buy the disc. As the recording rapidly broke sales records all over the globe, Gatocito treated himself to Meow Mix® Tender Centers® Salmon & Chicken Flavors Dry Cat Food with his first royalty check – proof that he had finally made it.
