About the Meow Mix® Jingle
The iconic Meow Mix® jingle was composed by Tom McFaul of the jingle house Lucas/McFaul, one of the major jingle-composing houses at the time. McFaul wrote and produced the music to fit the TV commercial produced by the advertising agency Della Femina Travisano and Partners. Recorded in 1974 by professional singer Linda November, the jingle helped launch the cat food brand.
The Meow Mix® jingle achieved the highest audience impact score for a TV commercial at the time, and by 1976, Meow Mix became a top dry cat food brand. Meow Mix® has utilized its jingle in its advertising for over 45 years, and the famous jingle has been featured in various movies and TV shows.
